About the masterpiece
Luca Giordano’s Jacob Wrestling the Angel, dated 1680, presents the Old Testament patriarch’s mysterious encounter with a divine messenger through the dramatic energy of the Baroque. Jacob’s struggle with the angel becomes a powerful image of perseverance, spiritual testing, and transformation, while Giordano’s dynamic handling heightens the intensity of the biblical scene. This museum-inspired reproduction honours the work’s sacred subject and invites reflection on the profound meeting of human frailty and divine power. Printed as a premium matte fine-art print on 200 gsm paper, it brings a compelling vision of faith and endurance to spaces devoted to prayer, contemplation, and sacred art.
About our prints
Our museum-inspired reproductions are printed on premium 200 gsm matte paper, with edge-to-edge artwork and supplied unframed.
To prepare selected historical artworks for fine-art printing, we digitally enhance images where necessary, including adjustments to brightness, contrast and colour balance. These refinements are intended to improve print reproduction while respecting the character of the original artwork. Colours and tonal values may therefore differ from the original painting.
