Christ in the House of Mary Martha and Lazarus — Jacopo Bassano

Jacopo Bassano’s Christ in the House of Mary Martha and Lazarus, dated 1570, presents a New Testament encounter centred on Christ’s presence within the household of his devoted friends. Shaped by the expressive naturalism and rich visual character of the Venetian Renaissance, the composition transforms a domestic setting into a scene of spiritual significance, inviting reflection on hospitality, discipleship, and attentive faith. This museum-inspired reproduction honours the sacred narrative and devotional atmosphere of Bassano’s original artwork, offering a distinguished image for spaces dedicated to prayer, contemplation, and the enduring beauty of biblical art. Printed as a premium matte fine-art print on 200 gsm paper, it preserves the work’s depth and reverent character with an elegant, understated finish.

Our museum-inspired reproductions are printed on premium 200 gsm matte paper, with edge-to-edge artwork and supplied unframed.

To prepare selected historical artworks for fine-art printing, we digitally enhance images where necessary, including adjustments to brightness, contrast and colour balance. These refinements are intended to improve print reproduction while respecting the character of the original artwork. Colours and tonal values may therefore differ from the original painting.
