The Miraculous Draught of Fishes — Jacopo Bassano

Jacopo Bassano’s The Miraculous Draught of Fishes, dated 1545, depicts Christ’s miracle as Saint Peter and his fellow fishermen encounter the extraordinary abundance of their catch. Set within a vivid waterside scene, the work unites sacred narrative with the expressive colour and naturalistic observation associated with Bassano and the Venetian Renaissance. The fishermen’s urgent activity and Peter’s response to Christ create a compelling devotional atmosphere centred on divine power, faith, and revelation. This museum-inspired reproduction honours the dramatic storytelling and spiritual significance of the original artwork. Printed as a premium matte fine-art print on 200 gsm paper, it brings a distinguished New Testament image into spaces devoted to prayer, reflection, and sacred art.

Our museum-inspired reproductions are printed on premium 200 gsm matte paper, with edge-to-edge artwork and supplied unframed.

To prepare selected historical artworks for fine-art printing, we digitally enhance images where necessary, including adjustments to brightness, contrast and colour balance. These refinements are intended to improve print reproduction while respecting the character of the original artwork. Colours and tonal values may therefore differ from the original painting.
